Fan Forever

Honestly, I was surprised contacting you was this simple. Please know Bonnie
that my interest in & love of your music is one of the most beautiful & precious
experiences of my life. Am 64. Have been a drummer/vocalist here in Tulsa a
'Bunch o' years!' And a fan of yours many. One of the first things I do when I talk
about you is to put on "That's What My Man Is For"! To this day, I can never
hear it without being shaken physically with your scream at the end. Bonnie, be blessed darlin'. Best of the best to you is my prayer! Oh! I fell in love with your
talent as an actress as well when I purchased "Guardian" a few years back. You make it look easy! Your voice is one of God's blessings to us all! Thank you...always, Mark Boyce

Write a book! :)

I just found your web site, sorry if this has been approached, but have you considered writing? Bet you've got lots of stories; it's always good to hear things from a female POV! (eg, Pattie Boyd's book!) Love, love you, btw! You've touched SO many souls; there's a special place for musicians like you, who have no way of knowing how many lives you've touched! Keep singin'!

Our Mother

Hello Bonnie!
I read through the memorial page here and absolutely love what was written about, I assume, your mother. It reminded me of my sweet mom who passed in May 2008. I was blessed to be by her side when she passed into peace. She was there when I took my first breath and I was there when she took her last. What an honor for me. Thank you for sharing those wonderful words and God bless!

Delaney Nd Mamo

Hi Bonnie..
I sang with Delaney back in 1989 before my husband Jack and I moved back
East.. I remember calling the house one day, and you answered the phone. you were doing Mamo's hair at the time..
Anyway, after moving to NY. I stayed in touch, and became very close with both of them coming out for a visit at least once a year..
the last time I saw them was I think 2006 or 2007. Mamo was still being cared for at home.
Mamo was still at home.. anyway what I want to let you know is that Delaney and
Mamo confided in me many things that I've have to kept close to my heart..
I fully support you and your daughter's rightful place in his legacy
and if I can be of help, please let me know..

Somewhere back in my young-man years (early 20s, maybe), for reasons I can’t dig up out the dust anymore, I was losing the exuberance of youth as I plodded around in the regularity of my little home town, pulling into a parking lot to do some regular shopping.  If the movement of my arm over toward the ignition key to turn off my Chevy’s engine could be turned into breath, it would have been the exhalation of a sigh of depression.  Just before the fingers got a decent hold of the key, something magical poured out of the Chevy’s radio and froze me in mid-motion; then it leaped up into me and raised up my spirits and brought smiles and heading nodding in its journey through me.  It was Delaney and Bonnie.  Through the passing years rude and treacherous feet have done a bit of tramping across my path, but the magic has not been erased.  Thanks for the gift.  I share it with others whenever I am sensible enough to know the sharing of it may be a good fit.  I hope knowing this infinitesimal history of mine adds to your journey’s confidence and aspirations in a good way.  Thanks, again.

Delaney and Bonnie

I first saw and heard Delaney and Bonnie at the Baltimore Civic Center in '69 when you opened for Blind Faith.  I was totally blown away by the performance.  I went to see Blind Faith but came home raving about Delaney and Bonnie and I've been a fan ever since.  Bonnie, you've been an integral part of southern soul music and I never tire of hearing your wonderful voice!  God Bless.

thoughts

I listen to Delaney & Bonnie records all the time. I just find the vocals and musicianship fascinating. I love Carl Radle's playing, and Bonnie's voice is a national treasure. Found myself wondering the other day at what point she had to give up those shrieks. Blues music came to my life relatively late (I'm 63), but I'm getting a big charge out of it now. I hope Bonnie can keep on singing. It was a huge thrill to see her in Annapolis in 2002 and chat with her briefly.

Peace be with you

Thank You

Hi Ms. Bramlett,
My name is James and I've been a fan of yours for years. I first learned of you when I heard the song "Comin' Home" when I was 16. After hearing that I started buying your work including solo albums, Delaney and Bonnie, Eric Clapton, etc. I'm 29 now so I've yet to see you live but hopefully you'll make it to San Antonio soon.

I'm a school counselor and have even turned some middle schoolers on to your music as I play it in my office often. There's nothing cooler than seeing a 13 or 14 year old discover good tunes. I hope to hear and see more of you as it is such a joy to hear your beautiful voice.

Thanks for reading and if you need a venue recommendation for San Antonio shoot me an email.
