Music, Music, Music

I enjoy your singing and love the style and feel you exude when you perform.? I am a jazz/blues piano player over 30 years?and played with several great artists.? I, too, was weened in black music.? I didn't know I was white until I was 31!? So, I really do understand that it is the feeling in the music.? Your sincerity is what I hear. The expression of your persona is what I feel.? You are an artist.? I would like you to sing some of my songs.? I have always been a composer and I think you would complete them with your style.? My number is:? 314.601.5087.? My name is Donna Perrino.? I have references and a solid resume.? If I don't hear from you, I will still cherish your talent.? Bravo, young lady, bravo!?

what a voice

Bonnie, I have only heard you sing on Roseanne and The Guardian and I just love your voice. I live in New Orleans and I would love to hear you sing. If you ever come play near here, please let me know. You would be great at Jazz Fest. Have you ever been? It's an amazing array of fabulous music from local groups to world famous artists. I looked at your tour dates and saw that you played Baton Rouge last year. I definitely would've gone to see you had I known you were so close. I sing too, in my car with the windows rolled up and the volume loud enough so I can't hear myself. Basically, I suck, but it's fun. But, to see someone like you who has that God given talent would be such a treat. So now that you have my e-mail, let me know when you're near my area and I'll bring some friends for a girls night out. You are beautiful! (just a compliment from a fan) Thanks, Renee'

remembering

Bonnie, I had sent you an email after Delaney passed away.?I am a friend of Troy Walkers in fact I wrote the email for him.?I hope Bekka and yourself are hanging in there.?I really wanted to know if anything happened with the song you? have been trying to get going.?I think it is fabulous Bonnie.?Great insight as I am white and my husband is black so I heard what he was saying.?I used to watch Bekka when she was a young and Delaney would bring her with him to see Troy.?What a beauty and what a sweetie.?I had been out to the ranch a few times and it was like going home.?Food starts getting cooked, they made sure you felt like home.?Troy has been playing at Viva Cantina on Wednesday nights and as far as that I don't know.?Things had gotten bad for him but hopefully he is on his way back.?What a voice.?But same to you lady, what a voice.? Take care of you and Bekka.?I am anxiously waiting to hear that song on the radio.?Best of Love, Devine

The 70's

I too, was a rock vocalist for many years in the LA circuit. From cover bands to my own originals... playing the Whiskey, troubadour, etc. I knew you in the 70's... Jerry Heller. Years have since passed. We all change on the outside. But when I saw the movie "The Guardian" and heard someone singing, I knew immediately that it was you. Talent doesn't fade for some. That most definitely includes you. I have felt so blessed with an ability to sing... wouldn't trade it for the world. What is funny, is that even today, I can walk into a crowded room of 50 or more people, yet focus in on that one musician. I love that! Keep up your terrific music!

Great vocalist!...

My mom and I were blessed enough to have all the re-runs of Roseanne just after my dad passed away 9 weeks ago. Those shows got us through some really tough nights. And the other blessing was to see all the episodes with you in them Bonnie! You sing like no other!!

"You really got a hold on me" and "roll on down with you" were hi-lights we will never forget! Keep up the good work and sharing that beautiful, rockin', southern soulful voice with us all!!

God bless,

Lisa

music, and life

I was lucky enough to catch Delaney and Bonnie while winding up my service obligation in the state of Washington.?I think I was at a performance in Seattle, don't recall where to be honest.?But it was in all likelihood the most inspiring performance I have ever attended.

And what a hoot seeing you on the Rosanne show.? Awesome!

Anyway, I'm hoping to catch a show sometime soon if at all possible; without sounding like I'm blowing smoke, you are amazing.?Thanks for the great music, take care......

Your voice

Hey!  Hope you are good after all this weather.  Sure do miss you.  Was showing some friends here your videos and it knocked these old ladies out!  They all remember dancing to Soul Shake!!!  What a hoot.  Call me!!!  LOL, Still Lost in the Preface...

Tape found of you singing with me,Beck, and Don

Hi Bonnie, Don made a CD from an old tape with all of us singin' our little heart's out!
Its when we first met you, and its pretty amazing! I'd love you to call me again, (thank you so much for callin' when Beck died).. I'll make a copy for you to hear... we were so young and silly... but the music is great. I tried writing an e-mail to you through Mike Kinnamon, but I don't know if you got it. Please keep in touch? I love you... and 'ain't NOBODY who can touch your singin'! Hope to hear back from you sis'ta... you're the BEST!

Indian Springs, GA meeting 5/1/2011

It was such a pleasure to visit with you and your friend at the Springs.?Hope you got your jugs of water back to Nashville safely.?You said you come down about once a month, maybe we will get to see you again on your next trip. We go to the Springs regularly as we live in Conyers, about 35 miles away. It is one of our favorite places to visit.

We have been watching?your videos. I think the song you sang on Rosanne's show was?fabulous, and so many others were too.?Wonderful voice!?Carl says to tell you he was not aware he was in the presence of such greatness!?

Looking forward to seeing you again sometime, and we would love to hear from you, too. You have our email address and we are on Facebook.

Your newest friends,

Peggy and Carl Scott

Cowboy

I was at?one of the popular Knoxville bars (can't remember the name, but it was on the Cumberland "strip") in the early "70s. The group was "Cowboy". Am I right and remembering you were with them then?
