old song

In the eighties, there was a song with "children come up, satan is about to burn" in the lyrics. what song was it from. and is it available on any cd or download site? What is bonnie doing now and how is she?

Webmaster: The lines ?Children come out, Satan is about to burn? come from the song ?White Dove?, on the album ?Step By Step? (Refuge, 1981). The album hasn?t been released on CD or, to my knowledge, in digital form for download but can often be found for sale at a range of Internet stores and ebay. Bonnie is well in Nashville and during the last 12 months or so has made a number of impromptu appearances on stage, mainly in that part of the country. The News and Tour pages of this site aim to give notice of any major public appearances or recording plans.

Lyrics to Your Kind of Kindness

Bonnie, I really love the song Your Kind of Kindness, but I cannot seem to find the lyrics anywhere on the internet. Could you respond with the official lyrics (on your site or return email)? Thanks!

Webmaster: I couldn't find these lyrics on the internet either but I'll email the words that come inserted with the Japanese CD... along with a few suggested corrections!

Roseanne's final episode

Did you sing the theme song at the close of the final season??If you did how can I purchase that and the other songs you sang on the show??You were a great asset to the show, I loved your character.?I wish you had more opportunities to sing, your voice moves my soul!

Your fan and just a woman who knows great music when she hears it!

Webmaster: Bonnie sang two memorable songs during the Roseanne series. "You Really Got A Hold On Me", which appeared on Bonnie's 1976 Capricorn record, "Lady's Choice" is readily available at normal Internet stores such as Amazon and cdUniverse, either on its own, or as half of the excellent Raven release
?It?s Time / Lady?s Choice? (2004). The song "Roll On Down", which Bonnie sang on "Roseanne" with David Crosby, has not been otherwise recorded.

I came across a song that you sang with David Crosby and FELL IN LOVE with your Voice and style to the point where I Downloaded everything that Itunes has on you. Now I can't stop listening to you. I don't know if you are still performing locally here in Nashville. I would love to see one of your shows and Hopefully Get to meet you. I hope you are doing Well and God Bless---Love David

You Really Got A Hold On Me

You sang that song like I have never heard it done before (on Rosanne's show) and I would love to know where I could purchase a copy.

Webmaster: "You Really Got A Hold On Me" appeared on Bonnie's 1976 Capricorn record, "Lady's Choice". You can hear clips of the songs and purchase the album at Internet stores such as Amazon and cdUniverse, either on its own, or as half of the excellent Raven release

DELANEY & BONNIE

I saw Delaney and Bonnie for the first time in a concert in Edmonton Alberta in about 1972. It was one of the most memorable concerts I have ever attended in my life, and that includes Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin and Jim Morrison, and many others that got all the mass media exposure and many more that didn't. Delaney and Bonnie were the most soulful, the truest to the spirit of Rock 'n' Roll and the loudest. In the first concert I attended, some people got up and walked out becasue they couldn't handle the volume. I positively screamed at them, "Pansies, Wimps!!" My ex-wife will testify. It was Rock 'n' Roll.
That was a long time ago, but I still listen to thier music, and though I live far away from my American and Canadian roots these days I am still influenced, and I sing and play in bars sometimes, and 'C'mon In My Kitchen,' 'Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad,' and my own 'Little Richard Medley,' will always be dedicated to Delaney and Bonnie.
They had a profound influence on my tastes in music for the rest of my life, and I don' think Bonnie will mind if I tell her that though I live far way from these roots I still sing n bars some of the music that she and Delaney blew my mind with in the late '60s is a part of my repetoir, and always will be.
