I met Patsy Camp back in the late seventies while she was in the hospital and she use to talk about you and Delaney and JJ Cale. I was a young girl at the age of about 19 and she turned me on to your music. She would lay in her bed and listen to Magnolia and that song haunts me to this day. She told me about her name being mentioned on one of your albums and how much you meant to her. Patsy has been gone since 1979 and I'm glad she shared her love of your music along with JJ Cale's. It will always remind me of her. So sorry about Delaney. You keep up the good work. Your voice is beautiful.

Hi Bonnie I hope you read this. My name is Debi I met you many years ago. My fiance was Jay York he and I were together 10 years we used to hang out with Delaney in the Studio drinking that sweet ice tea his mom used to make. Bekka was just a pre teen then she used to occupy my son Beau for us while we hung out with Delaney. We saw you perform at a few different places and got to talk with you. Jay really loved both of you, he passed back in 1994. I miss him so much. Anyway I wanted to say hi and I would love to chat with you more since I dont know who all would be reading this I cant say everything I would like to tell you. Boy Bekka sure turned out to be a beauty with tons of talent, but then again how could she not lol. Anyway Bonnie you take care and God Bless. Hope to hear from you.

Hi Bonnie, I was a 17 year old hippie kid in 1970. The Beatles broke apart and George Harrison came out with All Things Must Pass. One day the local Radio stations came accross the air with a promo for Delaney and Bonnie and Friends Concert to be performed at The Paramount Theatre down town in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. I wonder if you even remember that gig. They said over the air that you would be performing with special guest George Harrison. I was and am still a crazy Beatles fan. So I bought a ticket for myself. I remember it being odd that none of my friends were interested. I had five girl friends at the time but the parents were puritanical in those days. I was a real hip kid, a real free spirit. I could have been gone from home for a week before my parents even noticed. There was a real wierd feeling in the air around that time. The Flower Power Summer of Love had just ended and everyone was kind of in limbo. Well anyway, I went to the Concert. If I remember correctly Cactus opened for you. There wasn't a very big turn out.
I was surprised by that. So then your band comes on with George a no show.
I thought it was too good to be true. Well I was glad to see that you guys showed up anyway. All the while you were playing, there was no mention of George. So then I figured the promo people used that to sell tickets. All in all your band put on a great show.
When you sang I thought Wow! This Chic could really belt it out. I thought man I'm seeing a really cool Band here. I thought, "this Bonnie is a really cool Chic Singer and this Delaney guy can play the hell out of an Electric Guitar", George doesn't know what he's missing. I've been a Big Fan ever since. I always enjoyed Delaney's interviews. His interviews were just as entertaining as his music. What a storyteller he was. When I read his interviews he makes me feel like I was there. Thanks for the Music Bonnie. Everytime I listen to your Music I feel like that 17 year old kid back in 1970 again. Peace, Love and Blessings, Ron from Wilkes-Barre

Bonnie: I'm sorry I missed you but got to hang out with Delaney a few times at Bob & Shelby's place in Sunland/Tujunga back in the day. Delaney was so sweet and generous I failed to realize at the time that I was in the presence of a Rock 'n Roll Saint... but now I understand how hugely influential he and you were in this industry of Rock that has been the basis of our personal realities for Lo These Many Years... and so I just want to say this concerning the hall of fame thing: Delaney and Bonnie ARE the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame!

Hi bonnie, I have loved your music since I heard " accept no substitute" almost 40 yrs ago. Nobody sings gospel the way you do Bonnie. You have an incredible voice. I just purchased " motel shot" which I love so much. It is one of my most precious CD's. I was so sorry to hear of Delaney's passing. I draw parrell's between delaney and Elvis because they both incorporated gospel with r&b in their music. Bonnie, I just wanted you to know how much your music has and will always mean to me, and to thank you for it. God bless you Bonnie. Please keep performing, any chance you would ever come up in my neck of the woods, Pittsburgh Pa? (home of the mighty Pittsburgh Steelers who just put a foot stompin on the Titians- ha)

I am a new listerner of yours... I found you on iTunes. So, I decided to research you and your music... By the way they have very little of your music on the iTunes... Anyway! I came across the "I'm still the same" record. Clicked on "Hurt." You sang on that song. I know I'm a younger music listen (31 in December), but I understand good quality from some of this bullshit today... Excuse my french ma'am! I think I was way late when it comes to listening to you, and in age... Cause you just can sang the hell out of a song, interrupt the music while telling a story, and talks to the peoples. Man, these singers... these entertainers need to take some lessons from you...
Many Blessings, Soul Sista!

Hi Bonnie,
40 years on I'm still a fan.?I remember Delaney & Bonnie & Friends like it was yesterday.? As a collector of Stax Records, I had "Home" in my collection almost as soon as it was released.?I was so excited when your reputation led you to work with Eric, (who as I recall, was Derek!)? What a sad world that your work never led to serious chart success.?What a legacy!!
God bless you Bonnie, and the memory of Delaney.?As for you, please, keep on rockin'.
Love from the Scottish Highlands.
