returning to the uk?

Hi Bonnie, hope you are well and in fine voice. I saw you at the Barbican, London back in 2005 and it was great to see you all together on stage. The best for me though was seeing you a few days later at the small Cargo club with George Soule where you kindly chatted backstage and signed a record for me. I was right at the front of the stage and the power of your voice was utterly awesome. You truly are a 'Soul' singer. When will we be blessed with an appearance in the UK again? It seems so long. God bless and keep you singing strong Bonnie...Ray Kempton, Brentwood, England, UK

Never Ending Song of Love

As "unplugged" recording geniuses and trailblazers, I LOVE the Motel Shot album.  Gosh, imagine this happened in 1971!  I am wondering if the jam/recording session for Motel Shot was filmed/videotaped?  If it was, is there a way to purchase this unplugged session?  Never Ending Song of Love is my most favorite.

Best regards and thanks,

Toni

whirlaway and The Living Room

You were friends with my 1st wife Connie Mitchel at Granite City Sr High.? I remember watching you playiing the pinball machine with a cigarett hanging out your mouth at Peaches across from school.? Also, we went to whirlaway and the living room to hear you sing.? Next thing I knew, you were famous.? Oh yeah, the Hearsing brothers and Gibson kid was your friends. I have a few of your early songs with Delaney.? Take care.? Eddie Craft.

YOU

Just saw you again on a re-broadcast ROSEANNE - "You really got a hold on me..." EXCELLENT.  You are a living U.S. treasure.

Miss Bonnie!

Just wanted to say hello.  I don't know if you remember me, but I'm from Louisiana, now anyways.  I'm on facebook, and someone recently posted some pics of you playing with us back in 2003.  You really should get on facebook so you can have a fan page.  I hate that things didn't work out, and I suppose I'll never really know why, but I wanted you to know it was a privelage to perform with you.  I hope you and yours are doing well,

Lacy B.

Way in the past.........Madison

Hi Bonnie,

I have been following your career and so pleased that you followed your heart and soul.  I remember sitting on the steps in 4th grade and you always had the top hit books. You knew every word and had an incredible voice then!  Unfortunately, the last time I saw you in person was at Twist City, St. Louis, 1962. You were singing with George Green? I don't know why I never looked up your website, but now that I have found it, I'm going to make sure that I watch for where you will be. I definitely have some of your recordings, however.  I travel in my job and was just in Nashville so I made it to a lot of clubs as I love the soul, blues, rockabilly, etc.  Had not been there in years and can't wait to go back.  I moved to CA in 1978 and still there. Decided to visit my Mom after Nashville, so I am in Granite City. We are having a reunion dinner at Ravanelli's tomorrow with some of our former classmates; most of whom I have not seen since high school. Hope to hear from you!  Sheila

Ben & Marigold & Venice Beach

I'm so glad to see you are working so hard and doing so well. It's been too long since the block party on Venice Beach in the 1980s. I haven't seen or spoken to Benno in 25 years... probably need to do that. Now that I have finally moved closer to the 21st century and the internet, I have been looking for some old friends.

I live in the same area where I was born and raised, on a 25-acre farm about 30 miles from Corpus Christi, Texas and I am editor of the local weekly newspaper (Circulation 1500). Still writing, but the direction has changed.

There is a good chance you have no idea who I am... I was Benno's roadie and engineer for many years. I built the studio for Ben and Marigold on Venice Beach.

If you are ever near (Austin is only 3 hours away), please let me know. I woiuld love to see you perform again. You moved me so much at our block party, telling the crowd, "Very little of what we did here today can ever be captured on film or tape. Live performance will never die."

It was so profound... I remember it as if it were yesterday.

For the good times,
Sully

Hi Friend

Hi Bonnie,

I was just on your website and thought I would say "Hi". We lost our Mother, Blondie in?Dec. 2007.? She was 91. Sounds like you are doing well and living life to the fullest. Say "hello" to your sisters from the Dillon Family.

Your friend, Mike
