A Two-part message

Jan. 2, 2009

Dear Bonnie,

Want you to know your special vocal quality and musicianship have always struck a deep chord in me. Your singing is uplifting and a source of joy and enjoyment.

Timely that I happened to think of you right at this moment and was saddened to learn of the passing of Delaney, a great and talented artist, with whom you must have shared so much. Heartfelt condolences to you and your family.

Sincerely,

Sande Green

Sending you Love

Hi Bonnie: We were sad to hear about Delaney's passing. We send love and light and many blessings for you and your daughters. We have so many good memories of hanging out with you back in the day and the first time we heard Never Ending Song of Love on the radio together. Talk to you soon. Love Robert and Carol

Ms Bramlett - have followed your career (+Delaneys) for more than 35 years, while there is no way to?articulate ?the influence that you two have had on the music biz, still have, for that matter, we hope to hear more of that great sound in the future-so sad to hear about D's passing - his musical legacy?is his epitaph -

Motel Shot

Thanks for that album,?I had just got back from Nam and it helped me through many a cold dark night!? I loved it and still love it.? I am so sorry for your loss.? Those truly were the times!

Condolences

Bonnie,

? We are so sorry for your loss.

? I am married to Delaney's cousin Jerry Wayne May (Aunt Merle's son). I did not get to meet Delaney. Although, I have met John Wayne. Mrs. May would speak often of Delaney. Jerry Wayne's birthday was July 18th and as a surprise I gave him the CD of you and Delaney's "Home". He was so proud of it. There sat you, Delaney, and Papaw John.!!!!!? We have listened to it many times and I truly love it.

We will keep all of you in our prayers,

Love Susan C. May

Delaney

I'm so sorry and shocked to hear about Delaney's passing. Somewhere beyond this earth a mighty jam is surely underway. The music will live on.

Delaney

Bonnie, My condolences to you and Becca on the loss of Delaney. You asked me about 3 or 4 years ago when you played the Cutting Room in New York to pray for Delaney. I am happy that God blessed him and saw to it to give him another another few years with his new family.
I have so many great memories of you both - specially that radio show in NY where I sat on the floor at your feet (I remember those hot pants, the thigh high snakeskin boots and your fringed purse - lawdy lawdy, were you hot!) with Duane and Delaney harmonizing to Come On in My Kitchen. One of the most wonderful memories of my life.
And, thank you for vindicating me and Willie Perkins after we surreptitiously scattered some ashes on Duane's grave after Phil's funeral (Candace and Buford had one major fit, didn't they though?). Your song, along with Judi and Red Dog and Becca set Scott Hayes to rest along with his brothers. You are one kind lady. The Lord sure does love you and I feel blessed and honored to have ever heard your sweet song much less make your acquaintance.
Yours always,
Lizzie
